Artist's Comments

Bet you weren't expecting that! This has been in my unfinished work for quite some time, and I decided to take some time today and finish some of that work. So I finish my three part homage to the musical Man of La Mancha.

So, here's my version of don Quixote, the protagonist of one of the most printed books in history. Quite the reputation I have to live up to, but I hope this is an interesting take on the character. I tried to showcase the nobility I always saw in him, despite his craziness… or maybe because of it?

Line from the song "I Am I Don Quixote"
Part I- Dulcinea
Part II- Sancho

Well then. It's lucky that I happened to enjoy it enough to draw about it I guess.

Woo! MoLM is one of my favorite musicals. I love how you drew Miguel/Alonso/Don in this with the character shadows behind him. Lots of character. :D

I like this one a bit more than the other two; I can't pinpoint why exactly, but
