Artist's Comments

Admittedly, I would have liked to have had this done earlier, but I suppose a few hours is forgivable. I should have done this yesterday, or at least started it. I hope you guys have had a happy Fourth of July, because I certainly have. Well, it's not really too different from most of my other days really, but it's the thought that counts I suppose. That and the food. Didn't get to the fireworks this year, as I was doing this in fact. Only through television, sadly.

As you can see, even squirrels understand the art of the well-made hamburger and hot dogs. Additional little factoid: this is my second all-digital piece. Sketched in Photoshop, inked in Illustrator, and colored in Photoshop. I was testing an idea for workflow, but I'll stick to my other processes.

I particularly like the hair detail.

So zetta slow!
:iconhanyuse:
I was concerned that it did indeed resemble hair.

"Dead Tom's dead! Long John shot him!"
"But, Dead Tom's always been dead. That's why we call him Dead Tom."
"Oh."
:iconmricekirby:
I can't figure out if that means you tried extra hard to make it hair, or that you had trouble making it not look like hair.

Is that squirrel barbecuing an acorn? Ha ha, oh you. XD

(and a happy 5th of July to you as well! :D)

Imagination is sexier than knowledge.
:iconhanyuse:
Thanks. That is indeed an acorn. Appealing to all tastes you see.

Let's go with extra hard.
